We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our office team and support daily accounting and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial concepts.

Duties

• Process accounts payable transactions including invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.

• Maintain vendor relationships and respond to inquiries regarding payments and discrepancies.

• Assist in month-end closing activities, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliation.

• Utilize accounting software such as Foundation Software for data entry and reporting.

• Conduct analysis of accounts payable data to identify trends and improve processes.

• Update and manage vendor profiles

• Issue checks and process payments

• Enter Certificates of Insurance (COI) and W-9s for vendors

• Process and track 1099 payments

• Perform general data entry tasks

• Assist with other administrative duties as assigned over time

Experience

• Proven experience in accounts payable or a related field is essential; Experience in construction industry is a plus.

• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Foundation Software) is required.

• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and account reconciliation.

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills for vendor and internal interactions

What You Bring

• A BA/BS in marketing, engineering, business or a related field.

• 5+ years’ experience in producing accurate, compliant, and compelling proposals—independently and collaboratively in the commercial industry.

• Ability to track metrics and produce reports related to lead generation, proposal success and revenue results.

• Initiative, skill and personal commitment to managing multiple projects and details concurrently, follow up and bring projects to full completion.

Description:

The Director of Preconstruction will lead and oversee all preconstruction activities for our diverse portfolio of projects. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless transition from project inception through design and into construction, while maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction, budget adherence, and schedule optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of estimators and preconstruction professionals.

Your Responsibilities as a Utility Foreman

• Supervise daily activities of utility crews in the field, including installation of storm sewer, water, and sanitary sewer systems.
